Activist Proposal

I think that Student Christian Fellowship needs to promote the group by making flyers or brochures to info people of this organization. Student Christin Fellowship goes on group retreats and is involved in the community. At SCF we worship and listen to someone preaching the Word of God. This is a great group of people and we are happy to welcome any newcomers to this group. We meet every sunday at 7pm in the forum building. We would be happy to see new faces come and have fun. Also the number one thing is to BE YOURSELF!

    I see you very passionate about you public sphere activity which a very good thing. But I'm a little bit confused; are you trying to recruit new people, or are you just promoting the group? I'm not really sure how I could help you improve your plan, because because I don't have a clear view about your target.

    I think that it's clear that you enjoy your group, but I wonder how you plan to approach this. If your goal is to recruit new members, how do you plan on getting them interested? Many college student's don't feel the urge to go to church anymore. And for many, hammering in the message of God isn't a good recruiting tool. Maybe you could be successful if you showed them the friendship that is gained from being in a small worship group instead?

    I think posters and some hand-outs will be helpful in the public sphere day. You can put some banners here on your blog. If you want to make the group popular try to have as much 'advertising' as possible. Write on the sidewalks short stuff for people to see. Also, if you have pictures you took with the group bring them that day. You can ask your friends SCF about more ideas; I'm sure you will find a lot of creative people. Get them involved too.

    I think that your ideas about flyers and a brochure are great ones. i say that becasue i'm doing mine over a church just off campus and i'll probably do the same. I think that you'll do great on public sphere day.

    by the way, thanks for commenting on my blog about the Grace Church of the Nazarene. i plan on putting a contact number on a flyers and also on the brochures that i'll have. but if you need a ride to church just write me back and i'll give you a number to call.
