Our English teacher told our class to write about a public discourse that we have participated in sometime during our life.
At USI the girl's basketball team had a game and the theme was to wear pink for the fight against breast cancer. My mom and I went to the game and had a great time. Even the girl's basketball team wore pink uniforms I thought that was awesome. The reason why I chose this particular event is that my aunt had breast cancer. It was an emotional time for my family, it was especially hard for her children since they were very little at the time. My aunt had to get one of her breasts removed due to the cancer. She is fine now and living a healthy and normal life with her family. I am glad she is alright now, I am glad because it could have been a lot worse.
